Monsanto Philippines’ Country Lead Sandro Rissi receives the award from Bonar Laureto, Executive Director of Philippine Business for the Environment – the Global Network Partner of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development.

Monsanto recently received a special recognition for workplace practices from Global Initiatives (GI) and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) which launched the Sustainable Business Awards (SBA) Philippines 2014.

The SBA Awards recognizes best practices and leadership in sustainable business among national and multinational companies in the Philippines. The winners were announced at a gala dinner and awarding ceremony at Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati.

Monsanto participated in the awards process by completing a comprehensive self-assessment questionnaire. Later, Monsanto’s key staff members were interviewed and the company was scored by PwC.

The final winners were decided on with input from a national advisory panel including Philippine Senator Loren Legarda, Ateneo School of Governance Dean Tony La Vina, Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industries (PCCI) Secretary General Crisanto Frieneza and Philippines Stock Exchange CEO Hans Sicat.
