Farm Press Publications has announced the winners of its annual “High Cotton” Awards, and three of the four winners are Monsanto customers.
The awards, given through a grant by the Cotton Foundation, recognize cotton producers in each of the four Farm Press coverage areas who both produce good yields and take care of the land and water.
The Monsanto customers are:
Coley Bailey, Jr. farms near Coffeeville, Mississippi (Delta region).
Kent Wannamaker farms near St. Matthews, South Carolina (Southeast region).
Shawn Holladay farms near Lamesa, Texas (Southwest region).
The fourth winner, Don Cameron, farms near Helm, California (Western region).
The four were honored at a breakfast at the Beltwide Cotton Conferences in Orlando, Florida, held by the National Cotton Council. The awards are co-sponsored by Ace Pump Company, All-Tex Seed, Americot/NexGen, Arysta LifeScience, Deltapine (Monsanto), Dow AgroSciences, Helena Chemical Company, John Deere, MANA Crop Protection, Syngenta and U.S. Borax.
